Garvin Woodland Garden
210- acre botanical garden & woodland garden. Showcasing the best that Arkansas has to offer with miles of hiking trails, breathtaking water features and a Christmas light show that you will never forget.

Experience the pinnacle of "The Natural State" at Garvan Woodland Gardens, a 210-acre botanical masterpiece nestled along 4.5 miles of Lake Hamilton’s wooded shoreline. As the botanical garden of the University of Arkansas, this sanctuary was a gift to the community from local philanthropist Verna Cook Garvan. From the towering canopy of pines to the gentle lapping waves of the lake, the gardens offer a serene escape into the heart of the Ouachita Mountains.
The gardens are a fusion of world-class architecture and majestic landscapes. Visitors can marvel at the Anthony Chapel, a soaring 57-foot glass-and-wood marvel, or explore the Garden of the Pine Wind, a four-acre authentic Japanese garden complete with koi ponds and waterfalls. For families, the Bob & Sunny Evans Treehouse provides an interactive, four-story adventure within the Children’s Garden. Whether you are wandering through the 160+ varieties of azaleas or witnessing the five million twinkling lights during the holiday season, Garvan Woodland Gardens offers breathtaking sights and endless photo opportunities at every turn.
Gardens are open daily from 10:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m. Closed: January
