2026 Six Bridges Book Festival: September 27 - October 4, 2026

Named for the iconic bridges spanning Little Rock and North Little Rock, the Six Bridges Book Festival builds lasting connections between authors, readers, and the community through the power of story.

Presented by the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS), this premier festival celebrates words in all forms—from hands-on cooking demonstrations to award-winning comedy panels. The event features a stellar mix of nationally and internationally acclaimed authors alongside top local talent from across The Natural State. Beyond the main stage, the festival fosters a love for storytelling in the next generation through its Writers in the Schools (WITS) program, connecting hundreds of Central Arkansas students directly with working writers.

Nearly all festival events remain free to the public.

CALS is thrilled to welcome bestselling author Ariel Lawhon for a special closing event celebrating her novel, The Pirate Queen. Inspired by the legendary life of Grace O’Malley—the formidable Irish folk heroine who risked everything for her people—this sweeping historical adventure promises deep insights and inspiration for history buffs and fiction lovers alike.
