Running of the Tubs

The 20th Annual World Championship Running of the Tubs returns to Historic Bathhouse Row on Saturday, June 6, 2026, bringing with it a legacy of laughter and eccentric competition. This event is a truly special tribute to Hot Springs’ unique history as a spa town, turning the tradition of the thermal baths into "the cleanest fun in town." Since its inception, this race has captured the imagination of the community, honoring the late Stueart Pennington by awarding the coveted cup in his name.

It all kicks off with the Judging of the Tubs on Friday, June 5, at 6 PM, followed by the main event on Saturday morning at 9 AM. Whether you are cheering for the costumed teams or marveling at the customized bathtubs on wheels, you are participating in a one-of-a-kind Arkansas tradition that is free and fun for the whole family.
