You're Invited: Kentucky Derby Day in the Oaklawn Infield!

There is truly no energy quite like Oaklawn on Kentucky Derby Day. This Saturday, May 2, 2026, marks an unforgettable afternoon of first-class racing, gaming, and the kind of community spirit that makes the Spa City so special. While the world turns its eyes to the "Greatest Two Minutes in Sports," we are inviting you to join us right here at the track. Whether you are coming for the thunder of hooves down the homestretch or simply to soak in the festive atmosphere with friends and family, our infield is the place to be. With access to our Craft Beer and Wine Festivals, plus a high-stakes tournament to keep the excitement going, it is the perfect way to spend a Saturday.

Compete for Glory at the Arkansas BAGGO State Championship

If you love a little friendly competition, you won’t want to miss the return of the Arkansas BAGGO State Championship Tournament to Oaklawn’s famous infield. This double-elimination tournament is open to anyone 18 and older, making it a fantastic opportunity to test your skills, whether you are a seasoned pro or just enjoy a casual game in the sun. The competition is heating up with a guaranteed $3,000 cash purse on the line. The winning team will walk away with $1,500 and an official championship game board, while second, third, and fourth places will take home $750, $500, and $250, respectively. The entry fee is just $50 per two-person team, and if you arrive without a partner, the organizers are happy to pair you up. Gates open at 11:00 AM, and with food trucks and live racing setting the scene, it is shaping up to be a perfect day to crown this year’s state champion.

Raise a Glass at the Infield Craft Beer Festival

There is no better way to celebrate the grand finale of the racing season than with a cold brew and a view of the homestretch. From 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the infield transforms into a paradise for beer lovers. We have lined up some of the best local talent, so you can enjoy tastings from Arkansas favorites like Crystal Ridge, Stone’s Throw, Point Remove, and Stiegl. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased upon arrival at the tent in the infield starting at 12:00 PM. Please remember that this event is strictly for guests 21 and older, so have your valid ID ready. As a bonus, your $15 ticket also grants you full access to the "Wine, Place, Show" event, letting you explore both festivals throughout the afternoon.

Sip and Savor at 'Wine, Place, Show'

If you prefer a refined glass of wine while taking in the high-energy thrill of live thoroughbred racing, look no further than our "Wine, Place, Show" event. Taking place right in the heart of the infield, this is an ideal way to savor the spring weather. You will have the chance to sample a curated selection of wines from all over the world, ranging from crisp whites to bold reds. Like the beer festival, admission is $15 per person, which provides access to both wine and craft beer tastings. It is one of the most social and scenic ways to enjoy the track, offering a touch of elegance amidst the roar of the crowd. Don't forget, this event is also for guests 21 and older, so bring your ID and prepare to toast to a fantastic day of racing and wine!
